Public roadmap

Where Chaos Void might go next.

This roadmap is guidance, not a release contract. Items can move, merge, change, or disappear as the server evolves and actual players use it.

Live Network

Three-world network

Normal, Expert, and Master are connected behind one public Terraria address with seamless in-session world switching.

  • One public connection
  • Shared character progression
  • Commands available as a fallback
Live Character

Shared server-side character

Your server character, inventory, equipment, stats, and permanent upgrades follow you between all three worlds.

  • One account
  • One SSC character
  • No separate gear set per world
Live Reliability

Rolling + retained backups

The worlds and shared account database are covered by short-interval backups plus hourly, daily, and weekly retained archives.

  • All three worlds
  • Shared account/character database
  • Multiple retention tiers
In progress Worlds

Spawn hubs and portal rooms

The three spawn areas are being built as permanent arrival points and future physical portal hubs.

  • Expert hub
  • Normal hub
  • Master hub
Planned Travel

Walk-through world portals

Replace command-first travel with physical portal regions that move players between worlds without leaving multiplayer.

  • Portal region detection
  • Safe destination spawn
  • Command fallback remains available
Planned Character

World-aware bed and spawn positions

Give each connected world its own remembered bed/spawn location instead of sharing one server-side spawn position.

  • Separate per-world positions
  • Safe fallback to world spawn
  • Works with shared SSC
Planned Network

ChaosNetwork integration layer

A small network-aware server layer for cleaner world identity, switching, destination handling, and future portal features.

  • World identity
  • Switch API
  • Portal foundation
Exploring Community

Player suggestion pipeline

Early players are joining while the network is still taking shape. Useful suggestions may become roadmap items instead of disappearing into chat.

  • Keep the roadmap flexible
  • Credit useful discoveries
  • No promise that every idea ships
Known issue Client

Minimap fog-of-war bleed between worlds

Seamless world switching can cause Terraria's client-side explored map to carry between worlds and persist after restarting the client.

  • Worlds themselves remain separate
  • The issue is client-side map state
  • Deferred until a clean solution is found
